Team Blanco Baseball Club is a Miami-based baseball team, founded by 2x WS Champ Gregor Blanco (San Francisco Giant) in 2021. The organization’s primary goal is to provide a space where players can develop and explode their mental and physical talent and while having fun in the process. The organization has grown into a five-age group and now is expanding to San Francisco as a “select” (by invitation only) team.

At this time, only coach Gio Rivas is on board. We are in discussions with two other coaches: James N., a longtime little league coach and club baseball coach, and Tyler B. a recent student-athlete college graduate  Any of the coaches involved with Team Blanco Baseball Club share the same philosophy and goals of our founder Gregor Blanco. Our mandate is to never let it not be fun for the kids.

The team will focus on refining the fundamentals of playing the game of Baseball while learning strategies to improve the outcome of the game. Players will be asked to play different positions and different roles, some of which might be new to them. This will be part of the process of exploiting their strengths while working on areas of improvement.

The organization will start at the 11u level, kids born on or after May 1, 2012.  We have been very selective in assembling our player candidate list.  Every single invitee to Team Blanco Baseball Club meets the following criteria:  1) Smart and talented; 2) Good listeners and high character kids and 3) good athletes and ball players.

Team Blanco Baseball Club believes that kids should be allowed the opportunity to play other sports. For that reason, we will open the roster to 14 kids.

The first season will begin at the end of August 2023 and conclude the first week of November 2023. During that 10-week timeframe we'll practice twice weekly (thinking M/W or W/Sun at Potrero Hill field), participate in 3 local tournaments (South Bay) and play 3 scrimmages with local teams.  Note that this schedule is subject to change. In the Spring of 2024, the team plans to participate in the SFYBL as well as compete in local tournaments (max of 2), take a break in the summer and restart operations in the fall of 2024.

Three reasons:  1) Team Blanco Baseball Club will be a fun and competitive environment that will feel like family; 2) Team Blanco Baseball Club are dedicated to developing men of integrity and leadership; 3) Team Blanco Baseball Club will compete in the local Pony tournament and against highly skilled teams around the Bay Area.
